Lip Blush Prep
Do not work out 48 hours before procedure
NO alcohol, caffeine or stimulants for 48 hours prior.
No antibiotics 2 weeks before. No steroid medications 2 weeks before.
Avoid sun and tanning one week prior
If you’ve ever had a cold sore you will need to take an antiviral 3 days prior to your appointment to prevent an outbreak.
Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin @ or Advil/Ibuprofen or any blood thinning medications (unless prescribed by a doctor for medial reasons) 48 hours prior to procedure
Avoid Fish Oil, Primrose Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes, “Hair, Nail, Skin” supplements for a minimum of 48 hours prior
Discontinue Retin-A or retinols and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) at least 6 weeks prior
Must wait a minimum of 4 weeks after lip fillers. It is possible to have poor color retention in lips that have has injections within 6-12 weeks
Wait six months after lip implant and get written clearance from your surgeon
A few days before your appointment please start exfoliating your lips each night with a scrub. You can make your own with sugar and olive oil. Apply Vaseline or Aquaphor, or any type of super hydrating lip treatment. Keep them moist as much as possible before you come to your appointment. The ink is easily implanted into softened lip tissue. If your lips are chapped or the skin is too tough/sun damaged, you will not be a candidate for lip blush.
