Frequently asked questions-

Q: “What is microblading? “

A: Microblading is a manual form of cosmetic tattooing that has taken the world by storm. It is the best beauty service out there to help people look and feel their absolute best! The finest in permanent makeup, super fine hair strokes are strategically placed into the eyebrow area to create the look of fuller, more symmetrical brows. Pigment/ink is implanted into the skin with a small tool called a microblade. The results are natural and beautiful, taking years off of your appearance and giving your face a gorgeous frame. Results last 1-2 years with proper care. TWO SESSIONS ARE REQUIRED to achieve desired results. Possibly three sessions for certain skin types that may be more resistant.

Q: “Does it hurt?”

A: NO. A pain free service is very important to Jenna. She takes her time to make sure each client is totally numb before beginning the procedure. The brows are cleaned, then prepped, and a special cocktail of two lidocaine numbing agents are then applied topically, occluded with plastic and the client sits for 30 minutes to allow proper penetration. Jenna uses the most effective and highest quality numbing preparations so her clients are comfortable and happy throughout the entire appointment. Many clients actually feel so relaxed they fall asleep during the procedure! After the service, there is minimal discomfort. Most describe it as the treatment area feeling sunburned, or slightly sore for a couple hours at most.

Q: “is it safe?”

A: Jenna is fully trained and BBP ( blood borne pathogen) certified, with a background in the medical field. CMA (certified medical assistant) . She uses all disposable tools and takes all the precautions to make sure there is no cross contamination. Her workspace is very clean and she sanitizes after each procedure. Her business is also licensed and double insured. Safety is always first. If she feels it is unsafe to work on you (for whatever reason), she will ask you reschedule the treatment for a later time.

Q: “How long is the healing and aftercare process?”

A: 10 days. You will be given an aftercare bag with an antibacterial cleanser and a non-petroleum healing ointment. (Either AfterInked or Brows, Eyes, and Lips) You will wash your brows and apply the healing ointment as directed. The whole healing process is simple and easy.

Q: “How often do I have to get a touch up?”

A: That really depends on you! Your lifestyle, your skin type, etc. For example, oily skin may require touch ups more often than dry skinned gals and guys! People who work out and sweat a lot, or people who spend a lot of time in the sun and don’t protect them with sunscreen. It really will vary from person to person but an annual touch up is recommended to keep them looking their best.

Q: “What is plasma fibroblast and does it hurt?”

A: Plasma fibroblast also known as “soft surgery” is a treatment that uses ionized gas to shrink and tighten loose skin, smooth out wrinkles, shrink pores, lift hanging eyelids, contour noses, plump lips, diminish stretch marks, remove skin tags, and more. An electric arc produces a micro injury to the top layer of the epidermis. The skin then heals and repairs itself generating lots of new collagen and elastin cells, therefore, creating new tighter, firmer, younger looking skin. Tiny dots are strategically placed on the treatment area. Those dots (carbon crusts), will stay on the skin for up to about 7 days. After the dots fall off, you will need to wear an SPF 55 or higher daily to protect the fresh new skin underneath. If you do not follow proper aftercare, it is possible to get hyperpigmentation. So no sun for 1 month after! Wear sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc. There can be minimal discomfort during the treatment, but Jenna numbs each client beforehand, the same way she numbs for permanent makeup, so it is very tolerable. Again, some clients feel nothing, while others say the pain level can be a 2-3 on a scale from 1- 10. Some swelling afterwards is normal.

Q: “How long does it take to see results, and how long do the results last?”

A: You will see immediate results, but the skin will continue to tighten and improve over the next 12 weeks. It takes the skin three months to complete a healing cycle and for all the cells to turn over. Treatments can be done 8 weeks apart. Some people may get amazing results and achieve their desired results after only one session, while others may need multiple sessions. It all depends on how your body heals and your lifestyle. The results are basically permanent until the aging process takes over again.

Q: “Who is not a candidate for plasma fibroblast?”

A: Anyone with an autoimmune disorder, anyone who scars extremely easy, or anyone with skin darker than a level 4 on the Fitzpatrick scale.

Q: “What is emergency Li-FT removal?”

A: Li-FT is saline removal solution that pulls pigment out of the skin by the process of osmosis. So gentle on the skin, it removes ink without scarring. If you or anyone you know has a bad microblading experience and would like their permanent brows removed ASAP, Li-FT can be done within the first 24-48 hours to remove them safely and effectively.
